Spirit + art + music + healing
Xöetza: An Online Spirit Culture Magazine

second edition: the thread that spirit weaves with
Greetings to you, beautiful soul!
For our second edition of Xöetza, I find myself musing on the golden thread that Spirit weaves with from culture to culture. I’ve come to recognize that the ways that we conceptualize ‘reality’ make all of the difference. Reality, as I experience it, is multidimensional and textured with the wisdom of the spiritual dimensions.
I LOVE noticing the ways that Spirit weaves us all together. As we relax our vision, we may notice the greater tapestry of existence that holds us all so lovingly. in this second edition, I’m honored to share with you many beautiful souls who clearly live with a heart beat that is infused with the otherworld.
May we all continue to remember the Spirit that blesses our existence.
with love,
Liv Mokai Wheeler

oracle: short film by zohie Castellano
If you wish to be wild
If the only old growth
You have left
Is your children,
Don’t comb the wildness
From their hair
Feed them dew
From the morning fennel blossoms
And mushrooms gathered
Under the tallest trees
If the only hope
You have left
Is your children,
Help them collect walnut shells
And acorn tops
Show them where to set
A proper fairy feast
With honey, milk and song
And whisper in their ears each night:
“You are my dearest seeds.”

An excerpt from A video interview with liv Mokai wheeler and Tatjana Karajanov
liv: “Did you love singing when you were a little girl?”
tatjana: “yes. i very much loved singing! and i very much loved also playing instruments. i remember my father bought me an instrument. he was not sure why he was buying that but he just gave it to me. and then i began playing it, a keyboard, just by myself. and then they realized, ok this kid is a self taught kid. and i remember my teacher from the school, he asked me, “please tell me who are your parents. i want to beg them to get you in the music academy!” but my parents weren’t so into that idea.
and somehow life didn’t get me to that knowledge or that education but something else. like healing. a lot of things about body and mind. but i found my music. and now i’m doing that and for me that’s one thing that proves that you don’t need nothing. to come to your soul, to come to your purpose. it will find you. ‘i was singing as a child and now i’m so happy when i sing i feel like i’m a child again.’ ”
